Leaked report detailing specification of HTC’s upcoming flagship HTC One E9 has surfaced online and according to it HTC One E9 will be a bigger, flatter version of HTC’s recently released flagship M9.

The follow up to the HTC One E8, introduced middle of last year, is expected to pack an octa-core 64-bit Mediatek MT6795 SoC clocked at 2GHz. The handset is listed to feature a 5.5-inch Quad-HD (1440×2560 pixels) display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 20-megapixel rear camera and a 2,800mAh battery.

As per information provided by TENAA, the E9 will have dimensions of 156.5×76.5×7.54 mm (6.1 x 3 x 0.3 inches). There’s no information regarding the phone’s weight.

The leak hints at three color options for the One E9 including Metallic gray, White Rose Gold and Brown Gold. The handset is rumored to run Android 5.0 Lollipop software with Sense 7 UI on top.

Upleaks reports that the HTC One E9 will ship in two variants – one with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, and one with the M9’s 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera on the front.

The tipster reckons that the E9 will run on a 64-bit MediaTek octa-core chip rather than the Snapdragon 810.
The E9 is rumored to be launched in late March. Pricing and availability details of the handset are yet to be known.
