Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has officially launched its much rumoured ‘Oppo U3’ phablet in China.
Powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek 6752 64-bit octa-core processor, the dual-SIM Oppo U3 features a 5.9-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
The handset packs a 5 MP wide-angle lens on the front, equipped with an LED flash and a 13 MP Sony IMX214 rear sensor equipped with an LED flash and capable of slow-mo video recording and a useful night mode.
The smartphone comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with the company’s ColorOS 2.0.1 on top. Oppo U3 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that comes with Oppo’s VOOC fast-charging technology, which can enable a 75 percent charge in just 30 minutes of charging.
Connectivity includes 3G, 4G LTE, and dual SIM with dual standby. The device also features a dedicated audio-processing chip, AK4961, for high quality audio playback.
Available in Black and White color variants, the Oppo U3 measures 156.8x81x8mm and weighs 195 grams. There’s no word on the handset’s pricing or availability details yet.
