Microsoft rolls out 3 holiday Xbox One bundles at Gamescom 2014
Microsoft, at the Gamescom 2014 keynote address in Germany, made a ton of announcement, including the launch of three big holiday bundles – “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare,” “Sunset Overdrive,” and “FIFA 15,” available for pre-order.
Xbox Head Phil Spencer, unveiling the bundles, claimed this year’s options – “a trio of great system bundles” to be unparallel and that the company is excited “to offer fans more choice than ever before.”
The bundles offering a “great opportunity to enjoy Xbox One alongside an incredible line-up of first and third party games,” range from $350 to $499, and will be selling without the Kinect sensor.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare bundle for £429/ €499/$499, launching on November 3 at select retailers, features custom console, controller, a 1TB hard drive and Limited Edition exoskeleton, plus a digital copy of the “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” Day Zero Edition.
Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive bundle at £349/€399/$399, which will launch alongside the game on October 28, packs a white console and wireless controller, a digital copy of the Insomniac Games’ “Sunset Overdrive,” and a special Day One edition in-game items including bonus weapons.
Xbox One FIFA 15 bundle for £349.99/€399.99 to launch next month, will include an Xbox One console, a wireless controller, 14-day Xbox Live Trial, HDMI Cable, chat headset, a digital token for “FIFA 15” and an Ultimate Team Legends Gold Pack. The Xbox 360 version of FIFA 15 will also come to Europe at the same time.
Microsoft also announced a number of updates for the Xbox One including media updates that will enable gamers to play media files from an attached USB device or stream live TV to their smartphones and tablets using the Xbox SmartGlass app.
